Dietetic Health Coach for @Home Medical Weight Management
We are seeking Registered Dietitians to perform telehealth dietary evaluations and coaching advice for weight loss and maintenance. The evaluations and coaching advice will be shared with our medical staff and weight management patients to aid in medically supervised weight management. Each Registered Dietitian will see their patients with increased body weight and comorbid illnesses online to perform an initial evaluation. Also, Registered
Dietitians will perform monthly group telehealth weight loss coaching sessions to our patients.
Registered Dietitians will have their own provider-patient web portal that provides a list of patients and their medical records. Registered dietitians will recommend various diet types diets, including traditional low-fat, low-carbohydrate, anti-inflammatory, vegan and vegetarian options based on patients’ preference and health needs.
Registered Dietitians will have access to dietary intake values, measured, recorded, and tracked with AEGLE Palette electronic dietitian platform for each patient. Palette data will be integrated with physical activity data from Fitbit, Apple Watch, iHealth Labs, or HELO wearable technology.
Requirements for the Position:

Current license in the locality of practice.

Must be comfortable with using computers (login, uploading documents, and completion of online forms), telemedicine, and electronic health records.

Comfortable with recommending a variety diets for body weight reduction, including traditional low-fat, low-carbohydrate, anti-inflammatory, vegan, and vegetarian options etc.

Comfortability with assisting in the management of dietary recommendations for clients with varying degrees of physical ability and increased body weight.

Excellent working knowledge of nutritional medicine and evidence-based treatments for obesity-related medical conditions.

Ability to make quick and accurate clinical assessments of nutritional problems.

High level of comfort in working with primary care medical providers using a consultative style.

Ability to work through brief patient contacts with current forms of telecommunications including telephone, texting, and computer-based teleconferencing.

Good knowledge of psychopharmacology for obesity and related conditions.

Ability to design and implement clinical pathways and protocols for treatment of selected obesity-related nutritional disorders.

Ability to design effective obesity-related nutritional curricula and lead effective nutrition classes.

Ability to train and teach effective dietary interventions to medical practitioners and other health providers.

Ability to exercise balanced judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions, and to handle difficult or confrontational situations in a calm, consistent and equitable manner.

Ability to effectively represent company’s interests in the community and maintain effective working relationships among coworkers and public, private and professional groups.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
Duties:

Perform initial consultations online to determine dietary requirements for health and weight loss diet type preferences.

Weekly review of online food records including photographs and empirical data on macronutrient and calorie intake obtained with the AEGLE Palette system.

Give weekly feedback on the online food records to each patient to guide weight loss.
